My Story
I was born and raised right here in Buffalo, NY. Looking back on my childhood, I am very grateful for the experiences my sister and I had. Growing up I had a passion for learning and reading and couldn’t wait to share them with others. I knew I wanted to be a teacher and pursued my degree at Buffalo State and then my masters at University at Buffalo. After graduating with my masters I had the pleasure of working in various schools in the area before finding Buffalo Commons.
What Brings Me Joy
First and foremost my family! I am so proud of the life my husband and I have created with our beautiful children. Seeing their smiles and hearing their laughter brings me so much joy. Secondly, the aha moment when a student gets what I have been teaching them. Education has highs and lows but those moments make it worth it. I would say the third thing would be reading a good book. Being able to unplug from the world around me and enjoy a good story, brings me joy.
What I'm Good At
I’m good at taking care of others. Whether it’s my own children or my students I am there whenever they need me.
What the World Needs
Our world needs more people who are passionate about helping others and more schools. We need to be able to put our difference last aside and come together to help make a better future for our children.

Buffalo Commons is the first school I have been to that is built around what makes Buffalo unique. Buffalo is a melting pot and has such a unique culture and Buffalo Commons embraces that.
